Great new site

There is a great new site for all of my fellow camera lovers.
Ever wonder what professional photographers think of a
certain camera?
I have wondered on many occaisions, wondered if certain features
were worth it, etc.

Well, now there is a new website out there that gives us video reviews
on all the latest and greatest gear....gotta love that! I am always ready
for new gear!

Here is the link, PhotoAmerica please stop by and check it out. You
won't be disappointed.

What I love about my "job"

One of the things that I really love about my job is the ability to do it from anywhere.
Just a few days ago, I was sitting in a swanky Manhattan hotel working away. As I looked
out the window, I could see right into an office building. I watched the people work while I
did the same. It really reminded me of the luxury I have. I can work from home, on a plane,
on the beach, poolside. As long as I have my MacBook and my iPhone, I am set.

Here is a shot of my view while working in Manhattan...

Another thing I do while in Manhattan is shoot from the cab. I keep the window down
and see what catches my eye. This was on my way into Manhattan from LaGuardia.

We don't have beams like this in FL...I like the lines in this image.

Have a great day,

Goodbye Summer...Hello Autumn

It's been a long, hot summer this year. I have traveled all over the country taking pictures. For me, it doesn't get any better than that. One of the things I love about being a photographer is the ability to travel and document the places that I visit.

Here are some images from the places that I have been this summer...

I thought this baby was so cute walking down the mall in Charlottesville, VA

After I took this photo, this couple allowed me into their apartment to take some more photos

Country roads, take me home

This was the reason I was in Charlottesville, Va

New York City is one of my favorite places to visit.
There are always interesting people to photograph.

Rural Pennsylvania

I am going to be doing a fair amount of traveling this fall and will be sure to share some images
from where I visit.

Inside Aperture

While I was in NYC for Photo Plus, I was interviewed by Derrick Story of O'Reilly Media about Aperture and the Aperture Nature Photography Workshop (ANPW) that I attended.
It was an amazing experience to be interviewed by Mr. Story. He is a legend.

One of the other winners/attendees of the ANPW was there along side me. His name is Rob Trueman, if you click on his name you will be taken to his blog. We were able to talk about the ways in which Aperture has changed post production for us and what the workshop was like.

Here is a link to the interview. Inside Aperture
You can subscribe to this podcast in iTunes as well. There is a lot of great information in this series.

Thank you Derrick for letting me speak with you about Aperture. I really enjoyed it!

Finding something in an odd place

I was at a putt putt golf place with family and friends on Saturday. I was not playing, but taking pictures of all the kiddos playing. I decided to challenge myself and see if I could find something interesting to photograph. I did. Here is what I found...

That has been my new challenge to myself. To look all around where ever I am at. To find something interesting to photograph, even when it seems as though there is nothing there.
